2018 Hyundai Santro ATM Be The Best-selling Models, Magna and Sportz Gets Most Bookings

The sales of the Hyundai started with the booking opening on 10^th October, and two weeks later, on 23^rd October, it has been officially launched. Until now, the number of booking has reached 30,000 booking. It will go into sales soon with the first batch has arrived at dealerships.

The majority booking requests are demanding for the automatic version. The mid-range variants including the Magna and Sportz are the most booked. It is understandable as they come with the ATM powertrain as well as the CNG factory-fitted kit which could not be seen on the lower D-lite, Era and the top-spec variant Astra. In fact, the ATM petrol version of these two variants accounts for 30 percent of the total booking number. And another 21% goes for the CNG variants.

Both of these Magna and Sportz come with two engine options that are petrol and CNG. And the petrol version of each variant will be paired with either a manual and automatic gearbox. CNG and AMT are not offered on the lower as well as higher-end Asta variant.

The D-lite, Era and Asta are slower-selling, among which, the D-lite is the least booked variant making for only 9% of the total sales number. One reason is that these variants come with only petrol manual combination. And most importantly, the D-lite and Era miss out on many important features, making less appealing offers. D-Lite even comes without air conditioner system. The higher Era gets manual AC but lacks a basic entertainment system. For the Astra, the main reason for its sluggish sales is because of the lack of automatic option and moreover, customers could get the more-or-less same package with the Sportz Automatic. In fact, Sportz gets all features offered on the Astra but some safety features. It is reasonable that most customer will opt for the lower variant but with ATM gearbox.
