The soon-to-be-launched Ford Figo Facelift has been spotted testing on the Indian roads recently. Some images surfaced online revealing some information about the vehicle.

The American carmaker, Ford will drop the top on the Ford Figo in the Indian market in 2019. The car was spotted testing on the roads with no camouflage a few days ago. The upcoming hatchback appeared with a couple of cosmetic changes and some revision inside the cabin. It is expected that the powertrain system will get an overhaul as well to meet the new emission standards and higher aspirations of the Indian customers.

Visually, the 2019 Figo Facelift shares some styling similarities with the ongoing Aspire facelift. The front fascia accommodates a large honeycomb-pattern grille with chrome finish, redesigned headlamps and a new bumper with some black element, round fog lamps and a large air dam. It also comes with black elements on the tailgate and stylish multi-spoke alloy wheels.

The clear interior is not revealed in the pictures but the cabin layout is likely to be similar to the Ford Aspire facelift. A new dashboard with refreshed floating infotainment display compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with SYNC3 connectivity might be equipped inside the new model. We also anticipate that standard safety features will be packed with the facelifted Ford Figo when it’s launched including:

  • Dual Airbags

  • Anti-lock braking system

  • Electronic brake-force distribution

  • Brake assist

  • Seatbelt reminder

  • Rear parking sensors

Under the bonnet, the 2019 Ford Figo will witness a revision. It will source the power from a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol and with the tested 1.5-litre TDCI diesel engine. The motors will be mated to both manual and automatic transmissions but the details are still under the wrap. There could also be a CNG variant featuring a 1.2-litre petrol engine paired with a 5-gear manual transmission as standard.
