Mahindra& Mahindra Ltd, the home-grown carmaker has planned of releasing the TUV300 facelift with new revised structure and upgrades in 2019. The facelift has been spied on test on the Indian roads recently.

When officially launched in 2015, the Mahindra TUV300 saw its impressive sale indicators for the first several months. However, the likes of its bitter rivals, the Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon caused the sales of the TUV 300 to reduce significantly.

2017 Mahindra TUV 300 was one of the surprisingly popular models

The average sales figure of the TUV300 these months is about 2000 units. Meanwhile, that of the Nexon is 4000 units and the Maruti Brezza is 14,000 units. As a result, Mahindra must make further action to motivate the sales back and gain the top position in the market by the upcoming facelifted TUV300 which is projected to launch in 2019.

Tata Nexon and Maruti Brezza made the sales figure of the TUV300 to decline

As can be seen from the spy video, the 2019 TUV300 will be updated in the overall structure. A lot of missing features that customers expected in the previous model will be added in the facelift.

  • Revised headlamps, repositioned LED DRLs

  • Updated front and rear bumpers

  • New alloy wheels pattern with a tail mounted spare tyre

  • New 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

  • Probably automatic climate control

  • Probably new colour options

Under the hood, the 2019 Mahindra TUV300 facelift will keep the same engine specifications. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre, three-cylinder diesel engine that produces 100 bhp of power and 240 Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a 5-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission. The fuel efficiency figure is claimed to be at 18.49 km per litre. The expected prices of the TUV300 facelift are highly likely to be the same. The current pricing range of the outgoing TUV300 is from Rs 8.31 lakh to 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
