Clear spy pictures of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno facelift have once again emerged on the internet, thereby showcasing the exterior of the new model in all its glory. The exterior of the new Baleno has been updated with a new set of LED projector headlamps with DRLs, newly designed alloy wheels and wider air intake. The upcoming Maruti Baleno is expected to be sold in 7 body colour options, including Ray Blue, Premium Silver, Pearl Arctic White, Autumn Orange, Nexa Blue, Granite Grey, and Fire Red. The car retains its Heartect Platform and continues to measure 3,395 mm in length, 1,745 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,520 mm and a ground clearance of 170 mm. Maruti Suzuki will not do any mechanical change in the 2019 Baleno facelift. It will retain the same 1.2-litre K-series petrol and 1.3-litre DDiS diesel engines that power the outgoing version. The gasoline burner can churn out a max power output of 83 hp at 6,000 rpm and 115 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. Meanwhile, the diesel motor is capable of producing 74 hp of power at 4,000 rpm and 190 Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. The former will come mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and a CVT unit as an option. It will continue to offer a mileage of 21.4 kmpl while the latter will come married to a 5-step MT and will provide an ARAI-tested fuel efficiency of 27.39 kmpl. The high-end Maruti Baleno RS variant will source the power from a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine releasing 101 bhp and 150 Nm of torque.

Recently, the prices of the Maruti Baleno were raised owing to some economic impacts. The Maruti Baleno Sigma is now costlier by Rs 3,500 while the Delta and Zeta grades get dearer by Rs 6,000. With a successful year passing through, the Baleno is the best-selling model of its segment with an average monthly sales figure of around 18,000 units. The updated version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno is likely to be priced at Rs 5.41 Lakh to Rs 8.53 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to fare against the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Honda Jazz and Volkswagen Polo.
