All-new Toyota Corolla Revealed At 2018 Guangzhou Motor Show

Toyota has already unveiled the 12th generation of its Corolla sedan at the 2018 Guangzhou International Automobile Exhibition today. The newest Japanese brand’s Corolla sedan is projected to be imported to more than 150 countries and regions from 2019.

As far as we know, the Toyota Corolla name has been among the best-selling models with over 46 million units sold all over the world since its first launch in Japan in 1996. Newly advanced functions and innovations have been added to each generation to fulfil the changeable generations’ needs but still remains its core “reliability and usability” message.

Underpinned from the auto manufacturer’s latest TNGA platform (Toyota New Global Architecture), the all-new Corolla offers lower central balance point, sportier high-end aesthetic outlook and elegant interior design that enables the improved driving performance, smooth and peace-of-mind driving comfort. Customers could experience the excitement of driving in various different areas in five continents with a total one million kilometres of test driving.

The powertrain developed under the TNGA platform of the Corolla delivers the better driving performance for diverse customers around the globe. The new 2.0-litre petrol engine generates 171hp of max power and 205 Nm of peak torque. Besides, the hybrid powertrain of the new Corolla will be launched in most markets later.

The China-spec Corolla is likely to enter the Indian market as the new Corolla Altis that will bitterly rival the likes of Hyundai Elantra, Skoda Octavia and the upcoming Honda Civic.
