Audi RS6 Performance launched in India, priced at Rs 1.65 crore

Audi RS6 Performance has finally arrived in India. Audi has confirmed the price of the RS6 Performance at Rs 1.65 crore (ex-showroom, India). 

The RS6 Avant receives power from a 4.0-litre, twin-turbo V8 petrol engine. It returns the peak power of 560PS and the torque of 700Nm. And for the RS6 Avant Performance comes with the same engine but with a higher tune – 605 PS and 750Nm. The difference in power output leads to the fact that the RS6 Avant Performance is better at acceleration. Despite the fact that the RS6 Performance weights over two tonnes, it takes only 3.7sec to run from 0-100kph, which is 0,2sec lesser than the standard RS6 Avant. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. RS6 applies Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.

Besides the higher power output, the RS6 also offers bigger alloy wheels of 21 inches, a sports exhaust, contrasting front splitter, rear diffuser. It also features the Quattro logo on the front grille. Apart from that, the standard RS6 Avant and RS6 Performance share the same safety feature package as well as other features.

Back in 2015, Audi introduced the RS6 Avant for the first time in India. Recently, the German automaker also launched the all-new Q5 and the new-gen Audi RS5 coupe. The Design edition of the Q3 and Q7 also make their debut.

In terms of features, the Audi RS6 Performance will get a panoramic sunroof, climate control, electrically adjustable seats as well as Alcantara leather upholstery. Generally, the cabin of the Audi RS6 will get an extra premium cabin. 

This time, the Audi has no direct rival. The closest models to compare with the RS6 Performance could be Volvo V90.
