BMW 1 Series Sedan is spotted on its test. After China and Brazil, India is expected to be the next destination of the F50 1 Series.

BMW has brought the F52 1 Series to the Brazil market earlier this year. Before that, BMW 1 Series was first showcased at Auto Guangzhou in 2016, and one year later, launched exclusively for the Chinese market. And India is expected to be the next country to get hands on the 1 Series sedan.

Two years after its debut, BMW is working on its facelift, and with this version, it is likely that BMW will take it to the India market. Images of this car being tested have revealed some parts of the car.

For the upcoming facelift, BMW doses the front profile with bold and aggressive elements. Both the front bumper and grille are overhauled to look sharper, so does the headlight and tail light. But, as it is only a facelift update, the changes will be minor and not completely change the recent look of the 1 Series.

As the interior of the ongoing model has worked quite well, there are not any major changes to expect inside the cabin. But some small tweaks would be done to shake up the vibe a bit.

Under the hood, the 1 Series sedan pulls power from either the three-cylinder 1.5-litre turbo-petrol or the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol. This engine offer is similar to that on the Mini. The recent 1 Series is built on the Mini’s UKL1 front-wheel-drive platform. Given that the Mini has been assembled in India, if it successfully makes it to our shore, it is likely that the 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol will be on offer. An eight-speed automatic will come as standard.

The hatchback 1 Series, the F20, was introduced in the Indian market a few years ago. For the sedan version, it is longer and wider. Recently, luxury sedans have seen huge potentiality with the success of the Audi A3, Mercedes CLA.
