BMW Car Prices To Hike Up By 4 Percent From January 2019

The German carmaker, BMW has recently announced to increase the price across the car line-up to 4%. This announcement will be taken into effect from January next year.

On Thursday, BMW India has confirmed that the automaker will hike up the prices for the entire product line-up by 4% from January 2019.

Commenting about the price hike announcement, Vikram Pawah, the Chairman of BMW Group India said, 

“BMW India will continue to present an extremely attractive value to its customers through pioneering products, best-in-class service experience and comprehensive financial solutions and offers from BMW India Financial Services.”

BMW has stated without clarifying any specific reasons for the price increase. However, it is inferred from other carmakers that they also often hike up the price at the early beginning of the year due to several reasons. Off all, rising input costs, increasing commodity price are considered the main factors.

In the phase from January to September this 2018, BMW India has marked 7,915 sales units (Mini sales included). Compared to the same period last year, the sales figure has nailed an 11 percent growth.

As for the production profile of BMW, the automaker rolled out locally many outstanding car models which are BMW 3 Series, the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 5 Series, the BMW 6 Series Gran Turismo, the BMW 7 Series, the BMW X1, the BMW X3, the BMW X5 and the MINI Countryman.

Additionally, BMW has also recently unveiled the performance-focused M2 Competition in the country for a price of Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Besides, in an upcoming year, there are also new models launched. The earliest launching in the Indian market will be taken in 2019 which will be the X5 SUV and the all-new 3-series sedan.
