The world of the rich is something that the commoners can hardly understand. They splurge on the accessories that sometimes cost more than a sport car.

A 1.19-crore Porsche Cayenne is a sky-high price tag that the majority of people aspire to be able to pay. But in the world of luxury, things are different; A car mat that costs 12,000 rupees is a steal. Luxury cars are statements of class and fortune, and truth to be told, there can only be so many luxury car choices. So to amp up the level of opulence and grandeur as well as to stand out even more, rich people may choose to equip their cars with extremely exorbitant accessories, the price tags of which sometimes can be used to purchase another luxury car.

1. Starry roof of Rolls-Royce

If you think it is only possible to look at the starry sky in an open space, Rolls-Royce can prove you wrong. In 2007, Rolls-Royce introduced the Starlight Headliner, which is a roof's lining featuring over hundreds or thousands hand-woven fibre optic lights. On Rolls-Royce’s website, the Starlight Headliner is described as “a spellbinding Rolls-Royce Bespoke feature” that makes “every journey a magical experience with a stellar scene above you.” Indeed, the headliner, when illuminated, looks like myriads of stars twinkling on the night sky. Each layout and constellation are totally unique to the car owner, and there are no two same Starlight Headliners on the planet. And to be able to gaze at the galaxy in the comfort of your own Rolls-Royce, you have to pay USD 14,700 (approximately 10.80 lakhs) just for the roof.

2. Dashboard clock in Bentley Bentayga

Bentley Bentayga is the world’s most expensive SUV till date, with the starting price of 3.78 crores, and it probably earns the non-existent reward for the most expensive car accessory, a built-in Breitling clock for the dashboard that has the name of Mulliner Tourbillon and costs USD 170,000 (approximately 1.24 crores). With 1.24 crores, you can buy a Porsche Cayenne, which is another luxury SUV, with 5 lakhs to spare, which you might as well use to add to your car collection a Maruti Suzuki Swift. The thing we find funny about this clock is not how its price is equal to one luxury SUV and one so-so sedan, but the fact that there is already a digital clock on the lavish infotainment system of the Bentley Bentayga, and now you are purchasing a mechanic clock that is literally a few inches away from the other clock. Guess the buyers truly understand the meaning of the saying: “Time is money” :) All jokes aside, the Mulliner Tourbillon is truly a masterpiece. It is a self-winding tourbillon clock that has gold casing, pearl dial, and diamond indices. It is reported that only 4 units are made each year, and that makes the Mulliner Tourbillon even more valuable than it is.

3. Diamond-encrusted wheels

You can not keep a low profile when your wheels bling to Heaven by being encrusted with diamonds. Asanti is the company that specialises in wheel customisation, and it offers four diamond-embedded wheels for a mere price of USD 1 million (approximately 7.31 crores). You are not a fan of diamond? That is totally fine. Asanti can make your wheels bling in any colour of any gemstone, sapphire, ruby, topaz, you name it. But you may want to purchase a set of four diamond wheels because only then you are gifted a free Bentley. The most affordable Bentley, the Continental, starts at the price of USD 200,000 (approximately 1.5 crore), so some diamond-studded rims do not seem that expensive. At the end of the day, what is a better way to make people go blind with envy by decorating your Bentley with diamond-encrusted wheels?
