Hyundai Santa Fe Scored Five-Star Rating From Euro NCAP Test

The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe has been joined in the top best cars that achieved maximum five-star from Euro NCAP rating along with the Tuscon, Kona, i30, etc.

The South Korean carmaker’s latest Hyundai Santa Fe has got max points from the European New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP). The fourth generation D-SUV did a great job in all four independent vehicle assessment categories. The passengers are protected extensively with active safety and driving assist fitments along with high body rigidity.

Offering 6 airbags as standard and a long list of safety tech, the all-new Santa Fe is marked 94 per cent in the adult occupant protection and 88 per cent in child occupant protection. Besides, 67 per cent was recorded for the protection of vulnerable road users while 76 per cent is for its safety assist systems.

The only weak point of the Santa Fe was in the pedestrian safety section. While the bonnet and the head of a struck pedestrian provided good protection, some areas gave poor protection at the windscreen pillar or the windscreen base.

Delivering the passive safety and high crashworthiness, the new Hyundai Santa Fe holds other key factors to bolster its sales more immensely as compared to its predecessor. Although the detail of the Indian launch of the fourth-gen Santa Fe has not been revealed, its sibling- Hyundai Tucson is likely to hit the dealers by 2021 to take on the current Santa Fe in the Indian market.
