Isuzu Announces Price Hike From 1st January 2019

Isuzu has already revealed its plan to increase the prices of its product line-up from the beginning of 2019.

Isuzu, the Japanese carmaker is set to raise the prices of its portfolio due to the increased distribution costs and input from January 1st, 2019. The price will be hiked by 1 to 2 per cent for the D-Max Regular Cabs & D-Max S-cab along with 3 to 4 per cent for the MU-X SUV and the D-MAX V-Cross.

The D-Max V-Cross will be increased by 3-4% in price from January 2019

This will result in price increase of commercial range and the lifestyle and adventure pick-up in the range of Rs 15,000 to Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom) depending on the specific model and variant. The new prices will be taken into effect from the first day of 2019.

Explaining about the reason of the new price increase, representative of Isuzu Motors India states that it is due to the higher costs of distribution as well as the increasing input. The automotive company also conducted a price hike across all its D-Max models in which the Regular Cab and the 4x4 D-Max V-Cross receives 2 to 3 per cent growth in costs equal to Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 of the ex-showroom price increase. Prior to the price hike, the D-Max cabs were positioned at Rs 6.68 to 6.88 Lakh while the D-Max V-cross stands at Rs 14.82 lakh and Rs 16.31 lakh for two variants. All are the introductory prices.

Isuzu Motors Limited is the Japanese-owned automotive company headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. The company has started the production operations from April 2016 and managed 42 locations of dealer touch points in India.
