Isuzu Motors India has announced to increase the price of its D-Max pickup truck range from September 1, 2018, from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 50,000 (ex-showroom).

The Japanese auto brand has recently announced to hike the price of Isuzu D-Max pickup from Rs 20,000 to Rs. 50,000. The revised prices will be effective from September 1, 2018. This is explained by Isuzu that the increase in prices is due to the increased output and distribution costs. The price hike will be ranging from around 2 and 3 percent depending on the variants. Of which, the D-Max is rolled out as

  • Commercial variants (D-Max Regular Cab and D-Max S-Cab)

  • Adventure and lifestyle pick up (D-Max V-Cross and V-Cross High)

The Isuzu D-Max pickup price hike is now from Rs 20,000 to Rs. 50,000

The D-Max S-Cab and Regular Cab receive the power through by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine which can produce 78hp and 176Nm of peak torque. In the meantime, the V-Cross gets a refresh version of the same diesel motor which can make 134hp and 320Nm of peak torque.

All the models are provided with a five-speed manual, although the commercial models are rear-wheel drive while the V-Cross gets switchable four-wheel-drive.

The V-Cross price is around Rs 14.32 lakh and V-Cross High is a bit higher which is Rs 15.82 lakh. The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross was introduced in 2016. Since then, it has proven itself a solid choice in a tough segment where it has had to fend off the competition with the established rivals. Additionally, Isuzu has recorded to roll out the 10,000th vehicle, not long ago, which was a D-Max V-Cross from the brand’s SriCity plant, marking a milestone for the Japanese company.

This tastes of success may result in this second price hike within this year of Isuzu. Back to early this year, on January, the automaker has also announced a price increase for its entire range of Pickups and SUV, which was 3 and 4 per cent across the model range. Back then, the price of the D-Max was increased by approximately Rs.15000. Now, after 7 months, Isuzu has a plan on price hikes in September 2018.
