Jeep Compass Longitude Now Offered in Petrol Variant

The Longitude/Longitude (O) grade of Jeep Compass has been one of the most popular variants in the SUV's trim range. So far, it has been available with a 2.0-litre MultiJet II diesel engine. Now, to meet the demand of the customers, Jeep has introduced one more engine version, which is the 1.4-litre MultiAir petrol engine. Back to December last year, the Limited Plus was introduced for the first time. Since then, those interested in petrol engine variant have only the base Sports grade or the top-of-the-line Limited grade option available. Notably, now the petrol engine model will be on offer in all four equipment lines.

As for the performance, the 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged four-cylinder engine offered the Longitude (O) grade comes with the 7-speed DCT dual-clutch transmission as standard.  On the other hand, the fuel economy of the petrol-AT configurations is 14.1 km/l. Compared to the petrol-MT configuration with 14.3 km/l, this figure is a bit lower. The possibility of the Jeep Active Drive 4x4 system is now still limited to the diesel engine model.

As for the features, the Longitude grade will be compatible with

• Reverse parking sensors

Additionally, there are other features optional which are

• Projector halogen headlamps with LED position lamps, 

• 7-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system

• Dual-zone automatic climate control

• Roof rails

• Rear parcel shelf 

• Activated Carbon air filter

In terms of price, the Jeep Compass Longitude (O) petrol version will be available in about Rs. 18.9 lakh. As for the Jeep Compass range, it starts at around Rs. 15.39 lakh for the Sports 1.4L petrol-MT FWD configuration and come to a whop Rs. 22.9 lakh for the Limited Plus 2.0L diesel-MT AWD configuration.
