Maruti Suzuki Baleno Facelift Expected To Launch by June 2019

The Baleno is one of the most commendable models of Maruti Suzuki in the Indian market. The total sales figures of the Baleno has reached 4.5 lakh since its launch that proved its overwhelming popularity among the Indian auto fraternity.  This time around, Maruti Suzuki will release the mid-cycle facelift of the Baleno with a number of upgrades in design, safety kit and style.

In term of mechanics, Maruti intends to keep the same engine in the Baleno petrol variant as its outgoing version. It will still be powered by the 1.2-litre, K-series VVT engine that generates 83 bhp per 115 Nm of peak torque. Besides, the diesel variant will offer a new 1.5-litre motor churning out about 80-90bhp and 190 to 200 Nm of torque. Both variants will be pair with 5-speed manual transmission.

In regard to the features, the Baleno Facelift will share a lot of standard features as its predecessor together with a couple of added items such as the cornering headlamps and rain-sensing wipers.

• Reverse Parking Camera

The starting price of the 2019 Maruti Baleno Facelift is positioned at around INR 5.5 lakh to INR 8.5 lakh. The official launch date of the Baleno facelift is not-yet-to-be-revealed but when it comes it will take serious participation in the premium hatchback segment competition with the likes of Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Ford Figo.
