Mercedes-Benz A-Class hatchback To Offer New Diesel Engines in Europe Market

Mercedes Benz A-Class hatchback has recently added into the profile two new diesel engine options which are the A200d and A220d.

Mercedes-Benz has currently expanded the A-Class hatchback line-up with two new diesel engine models. These two variants are the less powerful A200d engine and the A220d.

Both variants are available with the newest generation 2.0-litre diesel motor of Mercedes. This diesel motor offers the same duty as the C-Class. As for the A 200d, this engine can churn out 150PS and 320Nm. Meanwhile, with the higher powered engine, the A 220d can produce up to 190PS and 400 Nm. Surprisingly, the A 200d can get from 0 to 100 mph in 8.1s, while A 220d drops to 7.0s.

As for the design, the A-class will be based on the new MFA II platform along with a host of other small cars from the brand. As a result, the hatchback will share the same design language of Mercedes.

In terms of interiors, the new A-Class is underpinned by the MBUX AI-based infotainment screen. Additionally, the hatchback offers the traditional attributes of Mercedes including the high quality and the plush materials.
