New Audi Q3 2018 to be released on July 25th: Update the newest teaser

It has been six years since the debut of Audi Q3 in the Indian market. During that time, the Q3 hasn’t changed a bit. This year, Audi has been prepared for its first-time updates. Tomorrow, July 25th, the new version of the SUV from Audi will be officially out. Before the D-day, Audi has released the newest teaser of Q3 SUV for the Indian market.

After its launch, Audi’s new car, the Q3, will compete with BMW X1 and Volvo XC40.

As the video has revealed the new look of the Q3, we could easily notice that some parts of the car have been redesigned, for example, the front grille now looks more dominating and with a protruding design and the headlight cluster will include multiple LED.

Apart from that, other details of the rear side look or even the interior remains a secret. The only image from the rear to be shown in this new teaser is the multi-colour LED backlit badge. Until now, all we have known about the interior evolvement is that it will entail the newest MMI infotainment technology from Audi. And Audi’s Virtual Cockpit will be also available as an option. The interior is anticipated to include a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless phone charging as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. 

According to some source, the new Q3 is acclaimed to be radically changed regarding the engineering. With this comprehensive change, Q3 is hoped to distinguish itself from the Q2 which is the car of the same family but being sold at a lower price. 

There aren’t any official statement from Audi about the Q3’s upcoming version, however, some sources suggest that there will be a slight increase in terms of its dimension, more specifically, it will be 4,450mm in length – 60mm longer and 1,860mm in width – 30mm wider, not to mention the wheelbase also grown from 2,600 to 2,650mm. It will, hopefully, bring out a more spacious room for the interior as well as the boot space.

It is also rumored that the Q3 will be about 50kg lighter than it is now.

In terms of its performance, there are even more to expect. The improvement is undeniable with better NVH level, promising to bring out a more refined cabin feel. Audi’s new model will be powered by a 1.5-liter or a 2.0-litre petrol engine. The 1.5-liter TSI will replace the 1.4-liter engine and generate two states of tune – 130 PS and 150PS. The turbocharged 2.0-liter will bring out 251 PS. 

For the diesel engine, the Q3 receives a 2.0-litre engine which is engineered to produce three states of tunes, which are 150PS, 190PS and 240PS. 

The upcoming release will not include plug-in hybrid offer which includes a 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine and an electric motor under the hood. This version will be introduced as an update later.
