What is a sedan car?

The definition of sedan cars has been much the same as it meant to be: a passenger vehicle in a three-box silhouette with a separate trunk. In other words, sedan is a kind of passenger vehicle in 3-box configurations with A, B, and C-pillars and is divided into 3 different compartments for the engine, passenger and cargo. The trunk of the sedan is a completely enclosed cargo hold that is separated from the compartment of passengers by the rear seatback and the immovable package tray under the rear window.

The sedans do offer a fold-down rear seatback that can open a pass-through to load more goods that couldn’t normally fit in the trunk. When the seatback is in the upright position, the trunk will be totally sealed off from the access.
