New Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2018 facelift - Bookings available from July

The new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will be launched in India in August this year and bookings and launch timeline was revealed to be in early this August.

The facelift version of Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2018 will be launched in India in the first week of August, and bookings will be available from the last week of July, according to the EconomicTimes. Maruti Suzuki is all set to revamp the Ciaz C-Segment sedan with a mid-life facelift. The facelifted Ciaz still is in the C-Segment sedan space with other same class as the Hyundai Verna, Honda City and the Toyota Yaris.

As for changes outside, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2018 facelift will get a whole new front-end styling, including the new front grille and bumper. Adding to this new look, the grille gets chrome-lined upper and lower edges. It is easy to see a slight difference between the existing one and the facelifted version which is on the bumper and boot-lid. One more impressive upgrade from the Ciaz is the switch to LED headlamps, with LED daytime running lights embellishing the look further. In addition, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz 2018 facelift gets a new design chrome door with the diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Regard of the interior, the new features are likely to be on offer with mild revisions to the colour schemes inside. The car also offers

  • A new instrument cluster

  • A multi-info display

  • A lighter shade for the faux wood trim

  • An updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

  • A new upholstery for the seats and door pads

Feature additions on the top-spec Ciaz come in the form of cruise control. The auto headlights are expected as well.

Suzuki’s new 1.5-litre petrol motor will power the Ciaz which comes in place of the earlier 1.4 petrol. The engine will also be offered on the second-generation Ertiga that launches later this year. While the engine’s 104hp of power is average by sedan class standards, the 1.5-litre petrol unit will stand out for its mild-hybrid tech, branded SHVS by Suzuki.

Maruti Suzuki Nexa has started accepting bookings for the Ciaz facelift and the booking amount ranges from Rs 11,000 to Rs 21,000, depending on the dealership.
