Kia Seltos has had a successful run in the country and the demand for the car has been persistent ever since it has been on sale. It was launched in the country on August 20, 2019, with multiple engine-gearbox combinations and variants. In simpler words, it is offered in 18 different configurations. Apart from a wide variant choice, a low starting price of Rs. 9.89 lakh has helped the Seltos perform really well with respect to its competition. As of now, Kia has sold has more than 80,000 units of the Seltos - 81,853 units to be precise. Inquisitive us calculated that it took 213 days for Kia to reach this sales milestone. Converting days to hours and then to minutes, we realized that before the second hand of the clock could complete its 4th revolution, a Kia Seltos was sold to a customer. Yes! Kia has sold a Seltos in less than 4 minutes since it has been launched in the Indian market.

Kia sells more than 80,000 units of the Seltos in just over 7 months.

It comes packed with a slew of features such as full-LED headlamps, LED tail lamps, Ice-cube LED foglamps, all-4 disc brakes, front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree parking camera, 6 airbags, 10.25-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment system, 8-speaker Bose sound system, 7.0-inch colour TFT display for MID, 8-inch head-up display, ventilated front seats, electric sunroof, cruise control, steering-mounted paddle shifters, electronically adjustable driver seat, tilt and telescopic adjust for the steering wheel, auto-dimming IRVM, mood lighting,  and 37 UVO Connected Car features.

Talking of its powertrain options, it is offered with 3 engine options. There is a 1.5L N/A 4-cylinder motor belting 115 PS and 144 Nm of rated output, and it can be had mated to either a 6-speed MT or an IVT. The next is a 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine. It can whip out a peak power output of 115 PS and a max. torque of 250 Nm. It is offered with 2 transmission options – a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT. The most powerful unit of the three is the 1.4L 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol motor, with a max. output of 140 PS and 242 Nm on the tap. It can be had either with a 6-speed MT transmission or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic.
