The carmaker will extend a helping hand by providing 100 MG HECTORs for doctors, medical staff, police and local government officials for community service around the country, by the end of May 2020. However, the UK based subsidiary of the carmaker has also opted for an electrified modulation of this step. MG Motor UK will be providing 100 units of the MG ZS EVs to the NHS agencies across the UK to fight this pandemic.

The Chinese-owned British brand will be providing these 100 HECTORs free-of-cost as their small support to the national effort in a bid to overcome this horrendous outbreak. All of these 100 Hectors will be provided with the fuel and chauffeurs. According to MG Motors, this step would ensure that the frontline workers performing their duties in this crisis, such as doctors, medical staff, police and local government authorities can travel safely while they are on their way to back the nation up in its original state.

The cars will be supplied to the government via MG’s nationwide dealer network while following all the standard operating procedures as described by the respective state governments. The carmaker will also follow the recently introduced process of ‘MG Disinfect and Deliver’ to use these 100 HECTORs in the service of the frontline workers.
