The Safari Storme GS800 has been customized to the needs of Indian army

The specially designed vehicle is called GS800 (General Service) Safari Storme 4x4. Its name with the '800' suggest that its minimum payload capacity is 800kg.

It has been claimed by Tata that the Safari Storme GS800 is particularly designed to be a more powerful and reliable Diesel SUV to satisfy the Indian Army’s requirements with a payload capacity of 800 kg, 60% more than the normal models.

The car has experienced a hard fifteen-month trial all over the country, both on-road and off-road and has demonstrated an excellent performance. Delivering more than 70% greater power and over 200% greater torque, the Safari Storme GS800 has been adjusted to withstand the harshest terrain conditions, from deserts to marshes.

The Tata Safari Storme GS800 offers only army green colour option with blacked out components. The vehicle also features ABS, fog lamps, recovery hooks and jelly can. The interior is equipped with such features as six-seating layout, bucket seats, air conditioning, mobile charging point, etc. The cabin is spacious enough for six co-passengers to be comfortably seated.
