2 HOT NEW Tata Cars to Launch Soon

Tata has already launched the Nexon facelift, Nexon EV and the 2020 Harrier in India. To widen its SUV line-up, Tata has planned to launch two new SUVs into the Indian market later this year namely HBX and Gravitas. 

Tata Motors launched the all-new Altroz hatchback in Indian in January this year. It’s the first time that the carmaker has launched a premium hatchback, which rivals with the likes of Maruti Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20. Tata Motors has already launched the Nexon facelift, Nexon EV and the 2020 Harrier in India. To widen its SUV line-up, Tata has planned to launch two new SUVs into the Indian market later this year, namely HBX and Gravitas.

Tata Motors revealed the all-new HBX SUV at the Auto Expo 2020. The all-new concept SUV managed to attract a large portion of crowd at the carmaker’s stall. The upcoming Tata HBX will be the second vehicle based on the company’s ALFA platform, which stands for Agile, Lightweight, Flexible, Advanced. Tata Altroz was the first car based on this platform. The upcoming SUV will be an entry-level car in the company’s vehicle line-up.

2 Hot New Tata Cars to Launch Soon

Tata HBX will be a micro SUV and will compete against Mahindra KUV100 and Maruti Ignis. Tata has ensured that the production version of HBX will be quite similar to the concept model. The upcoming micro SUV will get propelled by a 1.2-litre, petrol motor and the carmakers have no plans to offer a diesel variant of HBX. One can expect the car to hit the Indian market by the end of 2020.

Second SUV which Tata is planning to launch in India by the upcoming festive season is Gravitas. Tata Gravitas will be the second SUV based on the company’s OMEGA-ARC platform. Tata Harrier was the first car built on this platform. Tata Gravitas is the 7-seater version of Harrier and will share a lot of mechanics and features with Harrier.
 
Once launched, the SUV will rub its shoulders with the likes of Mahindra XUV500. In terms of looks, the extended SUV looks quite identical to Harrier. Tata Gravitas will drive power from a 2.0-litre diesel motor that produces power and torque outputs of 170 PS and 350 Nm.
