1. Maruti Suzuki Swift L (Lxi / Ldi)

Price:

  • Lxi: Rs 4.99 lakh (petrol)

  • Ldi: Rs 5.99 lakh (diesel)

This is the base variant of the line. The diesel version is priced well beyond the petrol trim, with the 1 lakh gap. However, apart from the fuel type, they share almost the same feature offer.

The equipment for the base form is basic, here are some features ticked for the Lxi and Ldi variant.

  • Tilt-adjustable steering

  • Power Steering

  • Air Conditioner

  • Rear seat headrest

  • Accessory Power outlet

  • Adjustable Headlights

  • Manually-adjustable ORVMS

Besides, the Swift also comes with a decent standard safety package.

  • Anti-Lock Braking System

  • EBD

  • Brake Assist

  • Child Safety Locks

  • Driver and Passenger Airbag

  • Pretensioners & Force Limiter Seatbelt

  • ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts

The L variant could have done better with height adjustable driver’s seat in order to provide a better driving position. The base variant is also missing power windows, central locking and keyless entry which was previously offered on the L(O). Missing on something it once had doesn’t sound like a good news. Moreover, some necessity like music system and other driving assistance are not available too.

2. Maruti Suzuki Swift Vxi / Vdi / Vxi AMT/ Vdi AMT

Next on the line is the V trim, which includes a wide range of variants, Vxi, Vdi, Vxi ATM and Vdi AMT. As the name might suggest, the Vxi and Vxi ATM comes with a petrol engine while the Vdi and Vdi ATm is packed with a diesel motor. These options are 80,000 higher than the L petrol and diesel, and the ATM option adds 47,000 to the package.

At the V variant, Maruti has more features to offer, which include

  • Keyless entry

  • Central door locking

  • Front and rear power window

  • Electrically adjustable ORVMs

  • Body-coloured ORVMs

  • Full wheel covers

  • Audio player with steering-mounted controls

  • Height adjustable driver’s seat

Coming to this variant, we will get a better-equipped package with the audio system as well as keyless entry and height adjustable driver seat. But the icing on top is the AMT options.

With these features, the V variant could meet up with most people’s expectation in a daily commuting car, but it comes with a quite high price, Rs 80,000 more for all these necessities. If you are fine with the basic offer on the base, you have better go with that option than have other function fitted later. It will be a more economical solution.

3. Maruti Suzuki Swift Zxi / Zdi / Zxi AMT / Zdi AMT

Price:

  • Zxi (Petrol): Rs 6.49 lakh (MT) / Rs 6.96 lakh (AMT)

  • Zdi (Diesel): Rs 7.49 lakh (MT) / Rs 7.96 lakh (AMT)

  • Rear wiper/washer

  • Adjustable rear headrests

  • 60:40 split rear seat

  • Alloy wheels

The addition of goodies like Push button start/stop Auto climate control Adjustable rear headrests or parking sensor will increase the comfort inside the cabin. This package offers just the right amount of convenience, and most importantly at a reasonable price. Giving away Rs 62,000 for these helpful techs is not a bad investment. Compared with the lower variant, it is clearly tempting. You should consider to loosen your budget and opt for the Z variant.
