Suzuki has launched the Jimny in Japan. Even though Maruti hasn't mentioned the launch of Jimny in India, it is still possible that it will be launched in the Indian market as well.

Suzuki has launched the 2018 Jimny in the Japanese market. On the official launch of the fourth-gen Jimny, the other three previous generations which include Maruti Gypsy – the sec-gen, also appear on the stage.

The new generation of the Jimny comes into 2 different variants, which are the standard and the Sierra. Each variant is available at three trims, XG, XL, and XC. The Sierra promises to bring better space and more features.

Here are the dimension specifications of the Jimny. The standard Jimny is 3,395 mm long, 1,475 mm wide. It is measured at 1,725 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 2,250 mm of length. For the ground clearance, it is measured at 205 mm. Sierra’s dimension is on the larger side with 3,550 mm in length, 1,645 mm in width and 1,730 mm in height. However, it remains the same wheelbase and the ground clearance increases slightly to 210 mm.

With regard to the exterior, 2018 Suzuki Jimny features LED headlights and headlight washer. The front profile features a bold matte black grille and a rough bumper. The exterior features dual tones, with the black treatment to cover the roof, bumper, OEVMs as well as the arch wheel.
