2019 BMW 3 Series Launched With Prices Starting From INR 41.4 Lacs

BMW has launched the new generation of 3 series at a starting price tag of INR 41.40 Lacs Ex-India after it made its global debut last year at Paris Motor Show.

The Bavarians have once again raged the war in the luxury car segment by launching the new generation 3 Series saloon in India. The renowned German car manufacturer seems to be playing big this time as the 3 Series had made it to the Indian shores right after its larger cousin, the 7 Series was launched recently. The new G20 3 Series is an all-new generation of the 3 Series and cannot be mistaken for a facelift when seen in the flesh. BMW will offer the sedan with 2 engine option and 3 trim levels to choose from. The Prices for the New 3 Series starts from 41.40 Lacs for 320d trim and maxes out at 47.90 Lacs for the top-of-the-line M Sport variant.

The new-gen BMW 3 Series sports a radically designed front end with revised headlamps and bumper.

Based on BMW’s CLAR architecture that also braces the 5 Series and 7 Series, the new generation 3 Series has gained 74mm in length, 12mm of width and is 15mm taller than the model it replaces. The wheelbase on the new 3 Series has also increased by 40mm, while the front and rear track are now 43mm and 20mm wider. All the gains in the dimensions have benefitted the 3 with a much more proportionate and hunkered stance, keeping the original 3 Series silhouette intact. But, the new car has surely shed 55 kilos of weight.

On the exteriors, the car now gets a pair of Adaptive LED headlamps with laser technology, and a bigger kidney-shaped grille, not as big as the 7s though. The front and rear bumpers are also resculpted with a sense of aggression to them. The duck-tail rear end of the 3 is still there, but now it has become sharper than ever. Rear-end now get L-shaped LED tail lamps and twin exhaust muffler housed in the black diffuser, giving the 3 a new distinct look.

The driver-focused, leather-trimmed cabin also comes loaded with a host of electronic and technological upgrades. With features like driving experience control, fully automatic parking system, three-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, electric seat and TPMS the 3 series is loaded up to the brim. The 3 Series also has a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system that works in tandem with the 12.3-inch fully digital driver display taking space in the instrument cluster. The infotainment system and the digital instrument cluster of the 3 series now work on BMW OS 7.0, making it the first BMW ever roll out with an intuitive personal assistant that responds to “Hey BMW” command.

The driver-focused leather-trimmed interiors of the 3 Series are now more spacious than the outgoing car.

The 2.0L petrol and diesel powerhouses on the new 3 Series are the only technical components that are carried over from the previous generation car. The 258Ps petrol motor and 190Ps diesel motor will be the only engine option to be offered on the 3 Series, to propel the rear wheels with 400Nm of torque.
The new generation 3 Series with mind freezing exterior (In a good way) and classy interior design is all ready to take on the competition against the likes of Audi A4, Mercedes-Benz C-Class, Lexus ES, and Jaguar XE with all the bells and whistles required.
