The new Audi R8, which is projected to be officially launched in India in 2019, has been unveiled by the German automaker. It appears to receive a wide range of mild upgrades, both as regards the exterior and the performance.

The second-gen Audi R8 now sports more angular design and has become more powerful, because of the improvements made to the 5.2-litre V10 motor. The 2019 Audi R8 will be debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show at the end of 2018, and be globally brought to the showrooms by 2019. The Audi R8 has already been on sale in India and the facelifted model is expected to be released here in 2019.

1. 2019 Audi R8’s thoroughly updated exterior

In terms of the exterior, the new Audi R8 comes with a sportier front, thanks to the following features

  • A bigger and flatter grille

  • New slits (which bear much resemblance to the flagship Audi A1 Sportback) on the bonnet

  • A wider splitter in the front

  • Wider distance between the headlights and the intakes below

  • A sharper tone on the LED DRLs

Last but not least, there are two new tones which are complementary to the current list of colour options: Ascari Blue and Kemora Gray. In the meantime, there is also a package which allows different marks to be inserted on the splitter in the front, the blades in the side and the diffuser in the rear.

All of these features have contributed to the sportier and sharper appearance of the 2019 Audi R8.
