Hyundai Grand i10 will sit on an updated version of its current platform. On top of that, next-gen Grand i10 will tick all boxes regarding all the upcoming safety and emission standards. The current engine range, including a 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine and a 1.2-litre U2 CRDi diesel engine, will be updated to meet the stringent BSVI emission. On the diesel range, the power will be sent to the rear axle via either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed automatic manual unit. On the other hand, the petrol version will be available with the same standard 5-speed manual and a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission.

It is speculated that Hyundai will provide the new Hyundai Grand i10 along with the current version. To differentiate the new Grand i10 from the old model, a ‘Prime’ suffix will be tagged along.  New Hyundai Grand i10 will continue to compete with the likes of Maruti Swift, Ford Figo and next-gen Hyundai Xcent.
