2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk Spotted Before The India Launch

A couple of months away till its launch, the 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk has been spotted for both its exterior, interior and some mechanical bits. The Trailhawk is considered the most-awaited off-road focused variant of the Jeep Compass in India this calendar year. Expect the bookings for the 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk to commence across the company’s dealers by mid-June, 2019.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk will make its way to India this July 2019.

As per the batch of spy images, we can confirm that the performance-spec Jeep Compass Trailhawk will get a hotly-searched engine-transmission combination. In all likelihood, the rugged SUV will come with a BSVI-ready 2.0-litre diesel engine along with a 9-speed automatic transmission for the Indian market. It should be noted that in the Euro-spec Compass, this BSVI-compliant diesel burner can make 170 hp of max power and 350 Nm of peak torque.

Ahead of the India launch, the Compass Trailhawk has been spotted in the full flesh, hinting at how the SUV could look like.

Aside from that, the India-spec Compass Trailhawk might be packed with Jeep’s Active Drive Low 4x4 system that features a low range, a locking rear differential, additional “Rock” mode for the Select Terrain AWD system (which currently comprises Auto, Snow, Sand, Mud modes), hill-descent control, etc. all the way up to enhance its prowess in the severe off-roading conditions.

The off-road-focused Compass Trailhawk will get a BSVI-compliant diesel engine option along with a 4x4 drivetrain system.

Last month, the India-bound Jeep Compass Trailhawk was unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Motor Show. The SUV attracted a huge range of enthusiasts thanks to its rugged good-looking appearance as well as a list of high-end features it gets to offers. We have learnt that the all-new Compass Trailhawk will get a higher ground clearance of 225 mm which is 20 mm more than the standard version. Besides, it could get a redesigned front bumpers with the red-painted tow hook, reprofiled rear bumpers along with the improved approach, departure angles. The interior, as part of the package, will get some subtle overhauls. It will come equipped with a new instrument cluster housing coloured MID, a larger infotainment touchscreen with navigation, cruise control and a panoramic sunroof among others.

The Jeep Compass Trailhawk is scheduled to go on sale in India for some time in July 2019. Since it will be the top-spec variant in the Compass SUV’s lineup, the prices of the forthcoming model are predicted to start at around Rs 27 Lakh (ex-showroom, India).
