Maruti Ignis was launched last month. The latest version arrived with a slew of new feature updates. Here we will explain how each variant expands its offer.

The compact crossover Maruti Ignis 2019 is refreshed with a load of new features. At the price range from Rs 4.79 lakh to Rs 5.82 lakh, the Ignis remains its four variants, Sigma, Delta, Delta AMT and Zeta. As expected, the new Ignis is better equipped in terms of safety features.

Maruti Ignis Sigma

Price: 4.79 lakh

Being the standard variant of the Ignis, the Sigma is currently available with a decent safety offer, including ABS and dual front airbags along with dual-front airbags, driver seat belt reminder, seat belt pre-tensioners with force limiters and ISOFIX child seat mounts.

To the new generation, it also gets some new factors including speed alert warning and co-driver seatbelt alert. With a speed alarm warning system, the alarm will be activated when the car crosses the set speed. Apart from these, it also gains a rear parking sensor that was previously only available on the Zeta and Alpha.

Maruti Ignis Delta

Price: Rs 5.40 lakh (Manual) / Rs 5.87 lakh (AMT)

The close-to-base Delta variant features the standard offer available on the Sigma. That also means it will now come with parking sensors, co-driver seatbelt reminder and speed alert system.

Maruti Ignis Zeta

Price: Rs 5.82 lakh (Manual) / Rs 6.29 lakh (AMT)

Sitting one grade above the Delta is the Zeta trim. It is also the closest trim to the top-spec models. Apparently, at this grade, the Ignis was already stacked with a decent list of features. Coming to the new generation, it is even more well-equipped. In place of the old infotainment system, the Ignis Zeta is now loaded with the new Smart Studio unit. This new infotainment unit was featured on the new Wagon R and Baleno.

Besides the co-driver seatbelt alert and speed alert system that are offered across the range, this variant will stand out with the newly-added roof rail which will give a taste of ruggedness for the Ignis Zeta.

Maruti Ignis Alpha

Price: Rs 6.67 lakh (Manual) / Rs 7.14 lakh (AMT)

On the top space of the line range, we will meet the Ignis Alpha. As a top-spec model, Ignis Alpha comes with all the bells and whistles. Besides all the features offered on the lower variants, this high-end variant is packed with DRL projector lamps, alloy wheels.

Unlike the feature list, the powertrain range gets dwindled down due to the discontinuation of the 1.3-litre diesel engine. Now, it comes exclusively with one 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers the peak power of 82 bhp and a peak torque of 113 Nm. This engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automated manual transmission. The automatic gearbox is available from the Delta grade upwards, meaning the standard Sigma variant is offered with a manual gearbox only.
