The mid-life facelifted Maruti Vitara Brezza enthusiasts who have taken a long waiting period of time should be happy to learn that the vehicle production has been commenced in India.

A publication has recently suggested that production of the 2019 Maruti Vitara Brezza (facelift) has commenced, thereby preparing for the commercial launch. First unveiled in February 2016, the Maruti Vitara Brezza has been the best-selling compact SUV on sale in the Indian auto space. However, the Vitara Brezza is trying hard to keep its position from more modern and more powerful contenders. A mid-cycle update of Vitara Brezza is in the works and will come to us this calendar year.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza has been around India for three years

As per a report from Carwale, the facelifted Maruti SUV, which is expected to receive a handful of cosmetic changes, will debut in weeks to come. The changes will be located at the front and rear fascias of the car, comprising renewed bumpers and front grille, LED projector headlamps integrated with LED DRLs, new air dam and tweaked taillights. In the side profile, it will come with completely new alloy wheels. An array of new body shade options is also expected to be introduced at the same time.

Not much will be done in the new Brezza’s interior front apart from the updated SmartPlay Studio Infotainment System which also appears in the new-gen Ertiga and WagonR siblings earlier. The system, says, will highly support the Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and many other connectivity options as well as in-car entertainment features. The outgoing fitments such as steering-mounted controls, climate control, rain-sensing wipers, rear parking sensors with rear camera, cruise control, start push-button, keyless entry, dual airbags, speed alert, ABS with EBD and more will be preserved in the new vehicle.

The 2019 Maruti Vitara Brezza will come with major changes in physical and mechanical aspects

Mechanical modifications are not mentioned in the media channels. However, we can expect the leading car manufacturer to shift its route from the D13A 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel motor to an ingeniously-built E15A 1.5-litre DDiS 225 diesel engine. The new version will generate a maximum power of 95.17 PS at 4,000 rpm and the peak torque of 225Nm at 1,500-2,500 rpm. The motor will come mated to a new 6-speed manual transmission.

As per the exclusive report, about 5,000 units of the new Vitara Brezza have already been manufactured. It means that the official commercial launch of the SUV is approaching closer to the Indian market. Besides the Vitara Brezza, Maruti Suzuki is also working on the updated Celerio and Eeco for new engine development and safety improvement at a later time.
