2019 Range Rover Sport with 2.0-litre petrol engine option launched in India, Priced at Rs 86.71 lakh

Luxury SUV manufacturer Land Rover has launched the 2019 Range Rover Sport with a 2.0-litre petrol motor. It carries a price tag of Rs 86.71 lakh. The new motor is a Si4 turbocharged four-cylinder mill from the Ingenium family. The engine produces 300 Ps of power at 5,500 rpm and 400 Nm of twisting force at 1,500-4,000 rpm. The SUV also employs an 8-speed automatic transmission along with AWD (All Wheel Drive system) as standard. And it comes with a single speed transfer box; a two-speed box isn’t available as a part of a package.

The 2.0-litre engine produces 300 PS of maximum power at 5,500 rpm and 400 Nm of twisting force at 1,500-4,000 rpm.

Moreover, the 2.0-litre Range Rover Sport can sprint from 0-100 in 7.3 seconds and it is capable of touching a top-speed of 201 kmph. The smaller capacity motor can be had in all three equipment lines offered in India: S, SE and HSE. Other engine options include a 3.0-litre TDV6 diesel engine that develops 258 PS of power and 600 Nm of peak torque, a 4.4-litre SDV8 oil burner that cranks out 340 PS and 740 Nm, and 5.0-litre V8 Supercharged petrol engine that puts out 575 PS and 700 Nm. Moreover, the 3.0L V6 Supercharged petrol engine no longer exists in the spec sheet, which could mean that it has been discontinued in India. All the engines of Range Rover Sport employ Stop/Start technology and regenerative charging for improved fuel economy.

 Range Rover Sport can sprint from 0-100 in 7.3 seconds and, it is capable of touching a top-speed of 201 kmph.
