2020 BMW X5 M Competition Launched, Rivals Audi RS Q8

BMW X5 M Competition finally makes its way to the Indian shores. The new model is imported to the Indian market via the CBU (Complete Built-Up) route. BMW India will retail this Sports Activity Vehicle via its dealerships across the nation at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.95 Crore. The model is offered with seven metallic colour choices, namely, Carbon Black, Mineral White, Tornado Red, Marina Bay Blue, Manhattan Green, Donnington Grey, and Black Sapphire. In addition, under the BMW Individual program, there are other two more colour options to choose from - Tanzanite Blue and Ametrine.

As for the interior, the BMW offers Black Extended Merino leather as standard. In addition, it gets Full Merino Leather as an option. This additional option is available with different colour schemes, including Sakhir Orange/Black, Adelaide Grey, Taruma Brown, Silverstone Black or Ivory White/Night Blue.

Bookings for the BMW X5 M Competition made before December 31 will be entitled to a special offer of exclusive hospitality experience. Additionally, customers are also provided with BMW Excellence Club membership which offers services in four packages, Bespoke Travel, the High Life, Grandstand and BMW Privileges.

On the outsides, BMW X5 Competition features a dominant front bumper air intake, roof spoiler, lower tailgate spoiler, 25-inch M-light front alloy wheels and 22-inch star-spoke 22-inch wheels. For the inside, the SUV is loaded with M styling elements across the cabin, including M controls, M buttons with a leather steering wheel, integrated headrests for M seats. In terms of features, this model comes with hands-free comfort assess, 12.3-inch multifunction display touchscreen, IDrive touch controller, optional BMW Gesture Control, BMW Live cockpit professional with navigation system. Other top features include BMW Virtual Assistant, Harman Kardon sound system, wireless charging, panoramic glass roof, advanced rear row entertainment system, along with BMW Individual customization option.

Under the hood, the BMW X5 M Competition gets a 4.4-litre M TwinPower Turbo which puts out 600 BHP and 750 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. This engine is mated to an 8-speed M Steptronic automatic transmission. This drivetrain allows the vehicle to propel from zero to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds and reach the top speed of 250 kmph.
