2020 Honda City Gets Remote Controlled Sunroof

All-new Honda City will be soon making its way to the showroom floors. Interestingly, it will come with remote-controlled sunroof and many other upmarket features

Honda Cars India has recently unveiled the new-gen City in India. The C2-segment saloon will be launched next month and the deliveries will begin soon after the price announcement exercise. The new model is gaining limelight as the longest and widest car in its segment. The story is similar with its features list as well. The all-new City will come loaded to its gills. Since the Indian audience fancies sunroofs highly, the City will also come with one. Interestingly, this one will be a remote-controlled unit. Yes! The new-gen City will offer the option of opening or closing the sunroof via the key fob. It will be the first time that a manufacturer would introduce such a feature in a C2-segment sedan.

2020 Honda City Gets Remote Controlled Sunroof

The new-gen City will also offer other functions via its key fob, such as remote engine start and boot unlocking. Talking of the other features, the new-gen City gets an 8.0-inch touchscreen display for the infotainment unit. It also offers Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility. A 7-inch coloured MID, automatic headlamps, auto-dimming IRVM, steering mounted paddle shifter, rear sunshade, and ambient lighting are the few other features that give the City’s cabin an upmarket appeal.

On the safety front, the new-gen City gets 6 airbags, vehicle stability control, hill-start assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, 3-point seatbelts for all the seats, ABS with EBD, LaneWatch camera and more. This time around, City also come equipped with vehicle telematics enabled assistance for various functions, such as geo-fencing, crash alerts, and vehicle tracking status.

2020 Honda City Gets Remote Sunroof Control

Honda will offer the new-gen City with 2 engines options in total. There will be a 1.5L naturally aspirated, 4-cylinder, petrol engine along with an option of 1.5L oil burner. The petrol motor will put out a segment-leading power figure of 121 PS. The torque output, on the other hand, is measured at 145 Nm. The diesel engine on the new-gen City will be the old-trusty 1.5L turbocharged oil burner that is capable of putting out 100 PS of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque. The transmission duties on the petrol motor can be had performed by either a 6-speed MT or a CVT, while the diesel engine will come mated to a 6-speed MT only.
