The updated 1.6-litre i-DTEC oil-burner is coupled to a 6-speed MT. The Japanese automaker has not revealed the performance figures of the new model, but we expect it to stay identical to that of the BS4 version, which puts out 118bhp of power and 300 Nm of twisting force. The new BS6 CR-V diesel will employ the same power plant and is expected to hit the Indian shores in the coming months.

Honda has been taking a bit of time to make its vehicles compliant as per the new emission norms. Currently, the ongoing City is only available in petrol avatar, and the 1.5-litre i-DTEC model is expected to receive an update in the coming months, and next month the automaker will also introduce the upgraded version of the Honda WR-V. Meanwhile, the gasoline variant of the Civic is powered by the company’s popular 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol mill, which churns out 141bhp of maximum power and 174 Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are done by a CVT. One can pre-book the upcoming Civic BS6 diesel from the authorized Honda dealership or via Honda from Home Sales platform.
