The next-gen 2020 Honda Jazz will get a new hybrid powertrain system that is supposed to be smaller than the one which has debuted in the latest-gen Honda Accord.

The latest set of spy images that surfaced in Japan recently have dropped a serious hint at the exterior and interior packages of the 2020 Honda Jazz. The new-gen Jazz will have its global debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show on October 23, 2019.

Honda is gearing up for the global premiere of the 2020 Honda Jazz at the Tokyo Motor Show on October 23, 2019.

From the leaked pictures here, we can get the closest look at the inside-out aesthetics of the fourth-generation Honda Jazz which is christened as the Honda Fit in some specific markets. While the Japanese auto major did make great attempts to make the car sportier and more aggressive back in the third generation, the fourth-gen Jazz seems to slot in a different angle that makes it rather elegant and youthful. Though the test mule has been spotted in full production guise, we can still see that the new Jazz carries over a micro-MPV-like silhouette that brings it back to the originals.

The next-gen Honda Jazz will hold a fresher look compared to the second and third generations.

Spy shots suggest that the next-gen model might sport some heavy changes on the exterior including a raked windscreen, a shorter hood, tweaked LED headlamps with LED daytime running lights along with a sleeker radiator grille, etc. Interior wise, it appears to feature a 7-inch driver information display which shares a lot of things in common with that of the 2019 Honda Pilot. Besides, a large touchscreen infotainment system could be easily seen in one of the leaked images.

Now that officials of Honda Motor revealed this month that one of its global model set to come in 2020 will be pinned on Honda Modular Architecture, it sounds highly likely that the vehicle in question here is the new-gen Jazz. As of now, all we can know for sure is that the all-new Jazz will come up with a dual-motor hybrid powertrain option using the new modern i-MMD technology. It will be a more compact version of the hybrid powertrain powering the latest-gen Honda CR-V and the Accord. Further details of this new and compact power plant are yet to confirm, but we expect the setup to be similar to the Honda Insight’s 1.5-litre petrol engine- two electric motor options.
