2020 Hyundai Creta E Base Diesel Variant Detailed [VIDEO]

Recently, a walkaround video which explains the 2020 Hyundai Creta E Diesel variant has been released on the Internet. Here is a look at the base model of the diesel-powered second-gen Creta

Launched earlier this year, the 2020 Hyundai Creta is available in five variants: E, EX, S, SX and SX(0), priced from INR 9.99 lakh -to INR 17.20 lakh. This walkaround video, published by AutoTrendTV's YouTube channel, will explain the 2020 Hyundai Creta E diesel variant in detail.

Although it is the entry-level variant, the E trim comes equipped with almost all the exterior features as the EX one, which makes it difficult to distinguish the two variants from each other. To be more specific, the E trim comes with projector headlights with follow-me-home function and turn indicators, two-tone bumper, black gladiator grille, front and rear skid plate, coloured door handles and rear spoiler, side sill, B and C pillars which come with a silver garnish with a silver lightening arch and full LED taillights. The tailgate also features bold Creta branding. The E variant is also equipped with four standard reverse parking sensors.

The cabin of the Hyundai Creta E gets a black and white dual-tone paint scheme. The SUV is replete with a dashboard which gets a similar colour tone and an instrument cluster which gets a similar layout to that on the EX variant. A flat black panel has replaced the audio unit and can be removed to install aftermarket unit.

Other outstanding features include a tachometer, a 3.5-inch mono TFT multi-information display, a height-adjustable driver seat, a flat bottomed steering wheel, a cooled glovebox and sun visors on both sides with a vanity mirror. Moreover, the Hyundai Creta E is also packed with powered wing mirrors, a powered tailgate and adjustable front headrests. In the safety front, the E variant of the new Hyundai Creta gets two front airbags, ABS with EBD, pre-tensioner seatbelts, gearstick indicator, lane shift indicator, engine mobilizer and rear parking sensors.

The boot is 433 litres large with no parcel shelf but comes with a boot lamp and a hook for bags but the SUV gets a boot lamp and hook for bags. A 16” 205 section spare tyre with jack and tools is positioned under the floor. The boot space can be even expanded when the rear seats are folded down. The Hyundai Creta E receives its power from a 1.5-litre oil burner which can generate 115 HP against 250 Nm and is mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. There is no petrol motor offered on the Creta E variant.
