How does new Hyundai Creta fares against the feature-loaded Hector? Here are 10 features that make it a much-more loaded car than the MG Hector.

Hyundai Creta is all set to be launched today, with an expected starting price of under Rs. 10.00 lakhs. It will take on the likes of MG Hector and Kia Seltos, and helping it do so is its features list. We earlier reported how 2020 Creta fares against the Kia Seltos in terms of features offered. The result is similar when we compared the feature list of 2020 Creta with that of the MG Hector. The Creta gets 10 extra features over the MG Hector, which certainly is loaded to the gills.

2020 Hyundai Creta Will Outdo MG Hector With 10 Extra Features

The Creta will be the most-loaded car in the segment.

1. Multi-Terrain Traction Control – Snow, Sand, and Mud

The SUVs are designed to take up some dirt and muck with ease. However, these crossovers are not designed to perform on the technical off-road sections, but mild soft-roading is what their forte is. And Creta is expected to perform better here as Hyundai will offer the car will multi-terrain traction control system with sand, snow, and mud modes. However, any such assistance is not present on the larger MG Hector.

2. Paddle Shifter

The Turbo variant of the Creta will offer the convenience of a 7-speed DCT with steering-mounted paddle shifters. The Petrol variants of the Hector also get an option of a 6-speed DCT, but without the paddle shifters.

3. Auto Healthy Air Purifier

With increasing AQI, the air-purifier is the need of the hour. 2020 Creta gets one underneath its front-centre armrest, although, MG gave this feature a miss when they launched the Hector in 2019.

4. Twin Tip Exhaust

The 2020 Creta features a sportier design for the exhaust muffler in comparison to the Hector that gets a single port exhaust muffler.

5. BlueLink Integrated Smartwatch App

The future is taking shape in the form of IoT (Internet of Things) devices and car manufacturers are actively taking part in this exercise. Creta gets smartwatch integration with Hyundai’s BlueLink connectivity suite, although, any of such features are absent on the feature-loaded MG Hector.

6. MT Remote Engine Start

The Creta’s key fob features a button to start the car remotely. The Hector certainly misses out on one.

7. Bose Premium Sound System

2020 Creta comes with a premium sound system from Bose, quite similar to what has been doing duty on the Seltos. However, in comparison, the Hector gets an Infinity-sourced sound system, which can match shoulders with the Creta’s Bose-sourced system.

8. Front Row Ventilated Seats

To help the driver and co-driver beat the summer heat, Creta comes with ventilated front seats, which are absent on the MG Hector.

9. Rear Seat Headrest Cushion

The rear-seat headrests on the Creta are fancy and super-cushiony. In comparison to these, Hector’s rear-seat headrests are conventional units.

10. Smartphone Wireless Charger

If charging your phone wirelessly is your primary requirement, Creta is the car that offers a cradle to charge your expensive piece of technology. The Hector, however, doesn’t get one.
