2020 Hyundai Creta Is The Highest Selling Car From Its Company

Hyundai sold 6,706 units of the new-gen Hyundai Creta into the Indian market. In March 2020 Hyundai Creta was the top-selling car in the company's line-up.

Hyundai Motors India has finally unveiled the sales figures for March 2020.  As expected, due to COVID-19 pandemic, the sales volumes of Hyundai have been affected as the Indian government has locked down the country till mid-April. The carmaker retailed a total of 26,300 units last month. Moreover, in March, the 2020 Hyundai Creta was the best-selling car in the company's line-up.

Hyundai retailed 6,706 units of the mid-size SUV, which means the car became more popular than even the Hyundai Venue, which sold 6,127 copies last month. Talking about other models in the company's line-up, i10 grabbed the third position by selling 4,239 units, while the Elite i20 took the fourth position with a sale of 3,445 Units. The automaker sold 2,615 units of the newly launched Hyundai Aura and 2,169 units of the Santro.

The least sold model in Hyundai’s line-up was the Verna, with a sale of just 893 units. However, we expect these numbers to increase soon as the carmaker has recently launched the facelifted version of the sedan. The new Hyundai Verna is priced between Rs 9.3 lakh to Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Toyota Yaris, VW Vento and Skoda Rapid. Hyundai is offering the premium sedan in three different variants namely- S, SX and SX (O). Inside, the updated model features a new dashboard, floating 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity options and a new style of A/C vents.

The 2020 Hyundai Verna derives power from 1.5-litre petrol and the diesel engine that produce 115 PS each. The carmaker is also offering a more potent 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor that puts out 120 PS of peak power. The petrol motor is available with a 6-speed MT and CVT, while the diesel motor can be had either with a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The 1.0-litre turbo-petrol motor is offered with a 7-speed DCT gearbox.
