2020 Hyundai Verna facelift will be introduced in India next year. Recently, it was spotted without any camouflage in China, where it will launch very soon
Hyundai Verna is slated to receive facelift updates in the following year. Recently, the new Verna was seen undisguised in China. India-spec version is likely to be identical to the China-bound model, however, expect some small changes when it enters our market. The approaching facelift, even though could not be as extensive as a generation makeover, will come with major design restyling that really converts the exterior of the Verna.
The facelift version of the Verna will come with a heavily-updated exterior
Hyundai Verna looks unrecognizable with a redesigned fascia. The old grille is replaced by a sharper and more aggressive unit. The sleek headlights are connected with the grille, forming a V-shaped flow on the front face. The headlight-grille block together with the sharp-looking foglight housing gives the new Verna a bold look and a pronounced road presence. The headlights of the Verna comprise of separate light housings, including the main headlights with projector, turn indicators, and park lamps. The bumper is restyled to look sporty and sharper. It gets silver elements around the fog lights as well as a black diffuser.
To the rear of the new Verna, there is a set of new taillights which are bridged to each other by a thin red line. The rear end also deploys chrome inserts for the bumper. On the other hand, the side profile stays mostly unchanged, apart from the new set of wheels. There are two types of wheels seen on the spy shots. The high-end variants are expected to the get dual-tone alloy wheels while the lower-range variants are likely to get monotone alloy wheels.
The engine line-up of Hyundai Verna will receive updates to meet the new emission norms
To meet the upcoming emission norms, Hyundai will update the current engine line-up of the Verna. It is expected to come with a 1.5-litre diesel engine as well as an all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine. There is also a good chance for a turbocharged petrol engine and a hybrid powertrain. In all likelihood, Hyundai will offer both automatic and manual transmission. The detailed specifications will be revealed in the later stage.
