The HTX trim of Kia Seltos now gets an electronic sunroof as standard fitment from the company and it has already started reaching the dealerships.

Kia made a grand entry in the Indian market with the C-segment crossover Seltos. The car helped Kia in topping the sales chart and creating a brand value for the South-Korean carmaker in the country. But with the launch of the 2020 Hyundai Creta, Seltos seems to be losing its spot. In a bid to keep its sales intact, Kia has recently updated the Seltos’s feature list and prices to help it perform better than its mechanical cousin. While the updated Seltos was announced last week, the car has already made its way to the dealerships as an HTX variant of the updated Seltos, which comes with a sunroof, was recently snapped at a dealership stockyard.

2020 Kia Seltos HTX (With Sunroof) Reaches Dealership Stockyards

HTX is the cheapest trim option on Kia Seltos that now comes with an electronic sunroof.

With the updates, it is the HTX variant that gets the most changes to its features list. It gets an electronic sunroof, which was earlier limited to the top-spec HTX+ and GTX+ trims only. The door sills on the HTX trim of Seltos also get metal scuff plates in comparison to the plastic ones seen before. Also, the HTX equivalent trim of GT Line – GTX gets the all-black interior theme with contrast red stitching. Metal finish around the climate control panel and the grab handle is now available on the HTX variant as well.

The common updates that are available across the range are the addition of emergency stop signal, front and rear USB charging slots, and hands-free voice commands. However, all of these updates come to the HTX trim at an added premium of Rs. 30,000. Most of the changes that HTX trim get with the update are on its interior. From the outside, sunroof is the only notable difference.

It continues to be offered with 3 engine options – 1.5L N/A petrol, 1.5L turbocharged diesel, and 1.4L turbo petrol. The transmission options on the Kia Seltos include a 6-speed MT, 6-speed AT, 7-speed DCT, and a CVT automatic.
