2020 Mahindra Bolero has been spied again. In order to comply with the updated safety norms, the refreshed model will feature a driver-side airbag and rear parking sensor, among many other new features that are likely to be available on the updated version

Mahindra Bolero will be given extensive updates to comply with the new emission and safety norms. According to the new regulations, from July 2019, all the features like driver-side airbag, a seat-belt reminder, a speed alert system and rear parking sensors are now obligatory for every model available in the market. Therefore, all of these features are expected to be seen on the 2020 Mahindra Bolero.

The latest spy pictures confirm the availability of a driver-side airbag and rear parking sensor on the 2020 Maruti Bolero.

As seen in the latest set of spy images, the 2020 Mahindra Bolero will offer a driver-side airbag and rear parking sensor to meet the updated safety norms. The company has replaced the old steering wheel with a new unit that comes from the TUV300 to accommodate the driver-side airbag.

Apart from the feature updates, the Bolero is also required to get structural enhancements to comply with the new crash test standards, which will start off in October this year. Finally, the engine will be required to be updated to gain compliance with the BSVI emission norms. So, basically, Mahindra’s mHawkD70 1.5-litre diesel engine will be revised. In its current state, the motor produces a maximum power of 70 hp and a peak torque of 195 Nm.

In the spy pictures, hardly any change on the interior or exterior is spotted. On the inside, the Bolero is seen with the same dual tone colour scheme and digital instrument cluster, faux-wood accent and single-DIN audio system. Of course, as we said, the steering wheel unit is new. Mahindra Bolero has been the most successful UV in Mahindra’s range. Even though the Bolero has passed its peak, it remains to be its company's bread and butter model.
