2020 Mahindra Bolero Is The Top-Selling Mahindra UV Last Month

Mahindra Bolero was the top-selling UV in the carmaker's line-up in June 2020. The bare-basic offering has registered total sales of 3,292 units.

Last month, the new Bolero was the top-selling UV in Mahindra’s line-up. The bare-basic offering received a facelift in March this year. In June 2020, the carmaker has registered total sales of 3,292 units. The 2020 Mahindra Bolero is offered in three different trim levels namely- B4, B6 and B6 (O) and is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre mHawk. The second spot was secured by Mahindra Scorpio with total sales of 2,574 units, the Mahindra XUV300 is the third best-selling car with a sales of 1,812 units. Moreover, last month, the automaker managed to sell 231 units of XUV500 and 49 units of Mahindra KUV100.

The 2020 Mahindra Bolero is powered by a BS6-compliant mHawk diesel motor

With increased sales of 7,959 units, Mahindra became the fourth largest automaker in India. Nevertheless, Mahindra has witnessed a decline of 55 per cent compared to the sales of June 2019. The new 2020 Mahindra Bolero facelift is offered with better styling, a BS6-compliant oil-burner and improved safety standards. The SUV is priced between Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the entry-level B4 trim and goes all the way up to Rs 8.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec B6 (O) variant. As compared to the old BS4 model, the new Mahindra Bolero is Rs 70,000 costlier. Most of the styling changes have been done on the front profile of the SUV.

The new Mahindra Bolero gets an updated grille, revised headlights and a reshaped bumper. The SUV also complies with the new crash-test norms that were implemented in late 2019. As mentioned above, the SUV is powered by a BS6-compliant 1.5-litre three-pot diesel unit that comes paired with a 5-speed MT. The car is offered with a rear-wheel-drive system. In the coming months, Mahindra will launch the new-gen Thar in the Indian market. The updated model will see comprehensive changes inside and outside. One of the major changes will be the addition of a new gasoline engine and an automatic transmission. The AT gearbox will be offered in both petrol and diesel models.
