2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza Petrol Spotted While Getting Tested In Gurugram

The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is one of the best selling compact SUV in its segment. The carmaker is now planning to introduce a BS-VI compliant petrol powered model of the SUV into the Indian market. Recently, the car was spotted getting tested on the roads of Gurugram.

The Maruti Vitara Brezza is one of the best-selling compact SUVs in its segment. The car competes with the likes of Hyundai Venue and Mahindra XUV300. The carmaker is now planning to introduce a BS-VI compliant petrol-powered model of the SUV in the Indian market. Recently, the car was spotted getting tested on the roads of Gurugram. One can expect the car to employ some subtle cosmetic upgrades at the front and rear. Upfront, the SUV will get an all-new grille along with projector headlamps and LED DRLs. The foglamp housings of the car have been reworked as well.

The upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza will get propelled by a 1.5-litre, BS-VI compliant, K15B smart hybrid petrol unit

The car was snapped rolling on blacked-out wheels, but we expect to see a new set of alloy wheels on the production model. The rear section of Vitara Brezza is not visible clearly, but one can expect some visual tweaks over there as well. On the inside, the compact SUV will employ some subtle cosmetical updates, which could consist of a new seat upholstery, multi-information display and infotainment system.

Under the hood, the ongoing Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is powered by a BS-IV compliant, 4-cylinder, 1.3-litre DDiS 200 diesel engine that produces 89 bhp of maximum power at 4,000 rpm and 200 Nm of peak torque at 1,750 rpm. The transmission duties are performed by a 5-speed MT and AMT. Moreover, the car is rated to offer 24.29Kmpl of mileage. The upcoming Maruti Vitara Brezza will get propelled by a 1.5-litre, BS-VI compliant, K15B smart hybrid petrol unit. This is the same 1.5-litre, petrol motor which powers the recently launched Maruti Suzuki XL6. The engine puts out 105 bhp of power and 138 Nm of twisting force. The petrol mill in XL6 comes coupled to a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed automatic gearbox and the same options will be offered even on the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza petrol model.
