While the refreshed Brezza comes with a slew of minor cosmetic updates, the major change lies under the hood in the form of a new powerplant. With the update, Brezza will be offered with a BS-6 compliant petrol engine. Maruti will not be offering the diesel engine with the car this time. The petrol engine is a direct lift from the Maruti Ciaz and Maruti Ertiga. Talking of its technical specs, it displaces 1500 cubic centimetres to produce 105PS and 138Nm as it peak power and torque output.

Maruti will also offer the mild-hybrid tech on the automatic variants equipped with the 4-speed torque convertor unit to boost the overall fuel-efficiency of the car. The manual variants will be offered with a 5-speed stick-shift instead. The standard safety features will include - Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, Rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchors and High-speed alert system

The prices for the 2020 Maruti Vitara Brezza facelift are not known yet. The car is scheduled for a launch on 15 February, which is when the official prices of the car would be announced. The car is expected to carry an ex-showroom price of Rs. 6.5 lakhs for its base LXi variant to compete with the likes of Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV500, Hyundai Venue and more. However, it would be really exciting to see how this compact SUV would fare against the competition.
