Skoda Octavia debuted in India in 2013. In 2017, the model received mild facelift updates. The next-year generation updates are expected to bring in a fresh new look for this premium sedan. Skoda Octavia 2020 will sit on the upgraded version of the MQB platform deployed on the current version. The exterior will see some major changes. In place of the old spit-up headlight design, the new Octavia receive a one-piece headlight setting. Also, the LED application will be adopted in both the front and the rear side. Moreover, on higher variants, Skoda Octavia features the Matrix LED headlight setup just like on the Skoda Superb. It also employs a wider and sleeker grille on the front.
Skoda Octavia 2020 will get extensive exterior updates
To the rear end, new-gen Skoda Octavia gets the C-shaped light housing including of taillights and rear fog lights. On the tailgate, instead of Skoda’s emblem, we now get the ‘Skoda’ lettering which is similar to the design of the Chinese-spec Skoda Kodiaq GT. This new style will give a boost to the elegance and premiumness of the Octavia.
On the inside, the Skoda Octavia will deploy a more premium design. Notably, the interior will come with more expensive and high-quality materials like soft-touch plastic. The new generation will also take a step further in terms of features. The 2020 version will come with voice control, a head-up display, updated Virtual Cockpit, and more.

Skoda Octavia will receive a wide range of powertrain options. It is expected that Skoda Octavia will get a 1.5-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine and 2.0-litre TDI turbocharged diesel engine. Also, the 48V mild hybrid system is expected to make it to the next-gen Octavia. New powertrain will strictly comply with the upcoming BSVI norms.
