2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0 TSI New TVC Video Out

Skoda India recently launched the refreshed Rapid with a BSVI-compliant motor. It rubs shoulder with the likes of Maruti Ciaz, Honda City, Hyundai Verna and VW Vento. As a part of its new brand strategy, the automaker has discontinued the oil-burner options and is only focusing on gasoline engines. The Rapid is the most affordable car in Skoda’s line-up, and comes with a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol motor. Today, we have a new TVC video of the 2020 Skoda Rapid. The video has been uploaded on the company’s official YouTube channel.

The TVC video basically focuses on the new BS6-compliant engine offered with the updated C2-segmnt sedan. As aforemntioned, the 2020 Skoda Rapid is powered by a 1.0-litre three-pot TSI gasoline engine, which puts out 110 PS of peak power and 175 Nm of maximum twisting force. The video says that the new sedan is terrifically potent and fuel-efficient at the same time. It also suggests that people have to drive it once to believe it. The older BS4 version of the sedan was powered by a 1.6-litre MPI engine, and the new model is now 23 per cent more fuel-efficient than its pre-facelift model. The 2020 Skoda Rapid 1.0-litre TSI is rated to offer 18.97 kmpl of mileage.

Moreover, the new engine is also 5 per cent more powerful than that of the older model. In terms of styling, outside, the new Rapid looks very much identical to the previous model. It features the company’s signature blacked-out butterfly grille upfront with Skoda badging. Inside, it comes loaded with features like touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls, automatic climate control, cruise control, spacious cabin and much more. The new Skoda Rapid is retailed at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base trim and goes all the way up to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec variant.
