2020 Skoda Superb Facelift Launched At Rs 30 lakh

Skoda has launched the 2020 Superb facelift in the Indian market at starting price tag of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Skoda Auto India has finally launched the new Superb facelift at a starting price tag of Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the base Sportline trim and Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the top-spec Laurin & Klement variant. The premium sedan has received a few subtle tweaks on outside and inside.

The new Skoda Superb is offered in two different trim levels namely- Sportline and Laurin & Klement

Upfront, the updated sedan gets a new bumper, revised radiator grille, sleek LED headlamps and new LED fog lamps with cornering function. The rear profile of the car gets retweaked LED taillights, new rear bumper garnish and ‘SKODA’ black lettering. The taillamps at the back are now connected through décor strip on the tailgate. The premium sedan is only offered with LED headlamps.

The cabin styling of the updated model remains unchanged. The 2020 Skoda Superb is offered in two different trim levels in our market namely- Sportline and Laurin & Klement. Both the variants are powered by a new gasoline engine. Now, the updated mid-size sedan derives power from a  2.0-litre, BS6-compliant four-pot TSI Turbocharged petrol engine, which churns out 190 PS of peak power at 4,200-6,000 rpm and 320 Nm of twisting force at 1,450-4,200 rpm. Transmission duties are done by a 7-speed DSG gearbox as standard. Both the variants are rated to offer 15.10 kmpl of mileage.

Moreover, the sedan comes loaded with features like sporty-looking 17-inch alloy wheels, electric tailgate, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, a panoramic sunroof, 12-way power front seats with memory function for driver’s seat, front seats cooling and heating function, Boss Button and 610-watt Canton sound system with 11 speakers and 1 sub-woofer. These are some of the features offered with the new Skoda Superb. The new Skoda sedan was also showcased at the Auto Expo 2020. Alongside the new Superb, the carmaker has also launched at Rs 7.46 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It competes with the likes of Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and VW Vento.
