A Tata Motors dealership in Kollam, Kerela delivers a Tata Nexon amidst the lockdown 3.0 while following the SoP directed by the government of India.
Tata Nexon is one of the safest India-made cars on sale, period. It is loved by the Indian audience for the space it offers, its frugal nature, and 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating. In spite of the high crash safety, however, any car can't protect you from the ongoing pandemic and hence, people have been directed to stay home by the authorities. That said, car dealerships are slowly springing back to action and deliveries of new vehicles have resumed under a new set of guidelines issued by the Government. Recently, an XZA+ variant of the Tata Nexon was handed over to its owner, one Binoy Ambika Manirajan, by a dealership in Kollam, Kerela.
Tata Nexon is currently offered at a disocunted price for the frontline workers.
In the picture above, the owners of the car can be seen taking delivery with masks on face. This reveals that the Tata dealership has followed the standard operating procedure (SoP) mandated by the government. To reduce the physical interaction of customers and sales personals, Tata Motors has also introduced the Click to Drive platform. The platform lets the customer go through the car’s exterior and interior via detailed videos, and book the car without physically visiting the dealership.
Tata Nexon rivals the likes of Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and more. It is available with 2 engine options – 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L turbo-diesel. The 1200cc 3-pot turbocharged petrol motor belts out 120 PS and 170 Nm. The bigger oil-burner, on the other hand, dishes out 110 PS and 260 Nm. The transmission options available with these engines are a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AMT.
Tata has recently introduced a next XZ+(S) variant of the Nexon with electronic sunroof.
The Nexon is offered in a total of 6 colour options, namely Tectonic Blue, Foliage Green, Calgary White, Flame Red, Pure Silver, and Daytona Grey. The top-end variant also gets the option of a dual-tone paint job. The Nexon comes loaded to the gills with a slew of features such as dual-front airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, hill-hold assist, ESP, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED DRLs, R16 diamond cut rims, 7-inch HARMAN infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted audio controls, automatic climate control, electronic sunroof, 8-speaker sound system by Harman, and more. Prices for the Tata Nexon start at Rs. 6.95 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs. 12.70 lakh.
