2020 Tata Winger To Launch Soon, Specs Revealed

Tata has revealed the specifications of the BS6 2020 Tata Winger. It will be powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that will come mated to a 5-speed manual transmission

Tata Motors surprised spectators at the 2020 Auto Expo earlidf this year with the new Winger. Tata first launched the Winger in the local car market back in 2007. A few years ago, the automaker discontinued it from our market, but now, the carmaker will likely re-launch the large van. as per new BS6 emission norms. At the Auto Expo 2020, the carmaker did not reveal many details about the vehicle or its powertrain. But, now the carmaker’s official website has been updated with the details of the specs of the 2020 Tata Winger.

The new model will be powered by a 2.2-litre oil burner, which puts out 98bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of twisting force. Transmission duties will be done by a 5-speed manual gearbox. However, till now, the company hasn't revealed the launch date of the new Winger.

However, according to the company’s official website, once launched, the Tata Winger will be available in several configurations, including a Staff 12 seater version, Winger School, and Ambulance. The engine tuning will be the same in all the configurations, and only the weight and wheelbase of the van are likely to be different. The new 2020 Tata Winger stands 165 mm above the ground. The prices of the CV haven’t been updated on the company’s website.

In other news, the carmaker is also working on Tata Gravitas, which is also known as the 7-seater Harrier. The SUV was first showcased at the 2020 Auto Expo and recently, was even snapped while getting tested. Once launched, it will compete with the likes of Mahindra XUV500 and upcoming MG Hector Plus. Mechanically, the SUV will be powered by a 2.0-litre Kryotec oil burner that produces power and torque outputs of 170bhp and 350 Nm. The engine will come mated to a 6-speed MT or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The SUV will also feature an all-wheel-drive system that is given a miss on the Tata Harrier. The all-new Tata SUV is expected to be priced between Rs 17-21 lakh (ex-showroom).
