2021 Ford Bronco First Edition Production Doubles To Fulfill Increased Demand

Production of 2021 Ford Bronco’s First Edition will be increased by twice to meet the increasing demands.

As per a report that has recently emerged on the Internet, the American automaker is expected to increase the Ford Bronco First Edition's production to 7,000 units, which is twice as much as the original numbers. Nevertheless, Ford has sent to its customers an email which says that the extra units have already been booked as well. The initially allocated 3,500 units were booked in only several hours after the official bookings started.

The new-gen Ford Bronco is one of the most highly-anticipated vehicles recently. The Bronco was available in the auto market from 1966 to 1996. After its fifth generation, the nameplate was pulled for over a period of 2 decades, which created considerable enthusiasm among potential customers.

The Bronco is now offered in the two-door and four-door layout along with a compact-SUV under the Bronco Sport nameplate. The SUV is underpinned by the conventional body-on-frame platform which is borrowed from Ranger pickup truck. Meanwhile, the Bronco Sport is supported by a customized version of the Ford Escape’s unibody platform.

The new Ford Bronco First Edition is priced at $59,305 (around INR 44.4 lakh) and $63,500 (around INR 47.6 lakh) for the two-door and the four-door versions, respectively. Standard features on the SUV include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a Bang & Olufsen system, heated leather seats, Safari bar, and Shadow black hardtop along with numerous other features from Sasquatch and Lux packages.

The performance of the regular Ford Bronco is not as impressive as that of the 2021 First Edition version.

The Ford Bronco First Edition receives its power from a 2.7-litre EcoBoost V6 motor, which can generate 314 PS against 542 Nm and is mated to a 10-speed AT. The standard six-gen Bronco keeps under its hood a 2.3-litre turbo EcoBoost inline-four-cyl motor which can deliver 274 PS against 420 Nm and is paired with a 7-speed Getrag MT.
